The submerged cargo pump was developed by Frank Mohn AS in close cooperation with the chemical tankers operators during the sixties. Today Frank Mohn AS is the leading supplier of submerged cargo pumps to the world tanker market. FRAMO cargo pumps are supplied with individual capacities of between 50 and 2,000 m3/h and total discharge rates up to 15,000 m3/h. installed on board all types of tanker ships and OBO carriers. On Feb 2007, 36000 cargo pumps are in service onboard 2300 tankers.
The one pump per tank submerged Cargo Pumping System was developed by Frank Mohn AS in close cooperation with the major chemical tanker operators. A complete pumping system comprises cargo pumps, transportable pump, ballast pumps, tank cleaning pumps, deck heaters, hydraulic power unit and control / monitoring system.

Except of Cargo Pumps manufacturing, FRAMO also produces the Anti Heeling System for loading and unloading operation of Container, Ro-Ro, Ferry and Cruise vessels.
The system consists of following components only:

- Reversible propeller pump with electric motor,
- Control system with inclinometer,
- Level switches,
- Butterfly valve,
- Electric starter.
